Preschool at MIS
We start every morning with a circle followed by centers, which include a snack. Students have two recesses each day- one in the morning and one at mid-day. We go outside every day unless there is a severe weather advisory.
Once a week students, have Music and Art (in English), Library (in Spanish) and small group projects with classroom teachers (related to the PYP units).
This is an overview of a day in preschool:
- Circle time
- Morning recess
- Specialists/ project time
- Second circle
- Lunch recess/ half- day students leave
- Rest time/individual quiet activities
- Afternoon social play/fine motor projects
- Closing circle/ adios
Note: The timing of centers and morning recess differ in each classroom.
